Increased Seats in IIT-JEE and AIEEE 2009

IIT-JEE

With the opening of 8 new IITs, the number of seats in IITs has increased marginally. Further, it is declared that the 7 old IITs, IT-BHU (Varanasi) and ISM Dhanbad are going to increase their seats by 13% for the coming academic session, i.e. in 2009. Here is a comparision of the number of seats in IITs in 2008 and 2009. The number of seats in IITs in 2009 mentioned below is just a rough estimate and donot indicate exact figures.
